Board and Committee Membership
The board of directors and committees were created to provide oversight, stewardship, and guidance regarding The City of Hope Outreach, its policies and strategic initiatives. All persons pursuing service on the board or committees have the opportunity to apply his or her unique skills and talents to create opportunity and provoke hope for a variety of individuals and families in Conway, Faulkner County, and the state of Arkansas.
THE CITY OF HOPE OUTREACH BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The City of Hope Outreach Board of Directors is responsible for the overall policies, directions, and financial stewardship of the organization. The board oversees all committees and ensures the organization achieves it strategic goals.
FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE
The Fundraising Committee will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to secure funds to support the operations of the organization.
FINANCE COMMITTEE
The Finance Committee will be responsible for developing and reviewing fiscal procedures, fundraising goals, and an annual budget with staff and other Board Members.
EDUCATION COMMITTEE
The Education Committee will be responsible for providing oversight and recommendations related to the programming this organization offers to students through its education initiatives.
HOUSING COMMITTEE
The Housing Committee will be responsible for providing oversight and recommendations related to the programs and services this organization offers through Hope Village and any other housing initiatives that it may undertake to serve the unsheltered or under sheltered in the communities which it serves.
SERVICE
The City of Hope Outreach is looking for individuals to serve a board members or committee members. The board and committees have been established to provide oversight and guidance to the Chief Executive Officer in strategic implementation of CoHO’s vision for a hope filled community.
SERVICE COMMITTMENT
The board and committees all vary in relationship to time and requirements. From monthly to quarterly time commitments, service at the committee or board level provides an opportunity for individuals to have a significant impact on the direction of the organization and most importantly the individuals and families served in The City of Hope Outreach.
HOW TO APPLY
The City of Hope Outreach pursues applicants from a variety of backgrounds who represent the economic, political, and religious diversity of the city of Conway. Appointments are generally made during the annual board opening starting in January. Additionally, appointments can be made when members have reached their term limits or leave a committee or the board, for other reasons, such as resignation.
NOTE: There is a maximum of two applications per applicant.
What to Expect After You Apply
When your application is submitted, you should receive an emailed receipt.
If you meet the qualifications, you will be contacted by a current board or committee member for active consideration for the position. The process may include an interview to evaluate your strengths for the position.
If recommended, your name will be sent to The City of Hope Outreach Board of Directors for consideration and approval. Once your appointment is approved, you will receive an email of your appointment and contact information for your new board or committee appointment.
